Friday evening videos

Yesterday evening, Caleb spent 2 hours, I'm not even kidding, 2 FULL HOURS sitting like this in
the sandbox, babbling away to his trucks and other toys,
while I sat just on the other side of the open glass sliding door
with a mostly sleeping baby, keeping an eye on him
and also getting some work done.

Then, afterwards we had a dinner of apples, black olives, garlic bread and cheese on the deck, which inspired the most intriguing conversations between bread ducks and zebras...

Conversation with his food

More conversation with his food, demonstration of "upside down"

We also had a surprise visit from a beautiful blue butterfly (which then brought back memories of Barbara holding a butterfly on her finger, as well as her screaming at bugs and bees and such). Which then led to a conversation about bees and how they sting, and necessitated the clarification of the term 'sting', that it is not the same as 'la-la' or 'sing' - though, I must say, after this week and the time we had at the park with bees chasing us, I am all for a world where BEES SING instead of STING.

Bees sting

I realize that this is entirely too much video for a single post (and I even refrained from showing you the butterfly one with Caleb screaming to show how Barbara did), but I have been meaning to take more videos of him to record his adorable 'Hunglish' and idiosyncracies before they are all POOF, GONE!
