Caleb, the good brother

Since today is Caleb's nameday, I thought I'd show you something.
I took these photos on the last days of August...
They are impromptu photos of the two of them.
They capture what a good brother Caleb is.

She pulls his hair

(she does this ALL THE TIME)

but he is used to it and hardly even winces.

Less than 10 seconds later, he is hugging her and this photo is taken.

He left for a minute, she calls him back.

He hands her his finger.

She grabs it.

She falls. Nobody has to tell him to help her up.

She feels safe walking with him holding her hand.

(This was when she was still unsteady on her feet.)

She calls him back.

He obliges, joyfully.

Look at the protective arm he has around her.

We love you, Caleb!

(There are times when you torture your sister,

but there are times when your sweet love and care for her shines through!)

It is so obvious that she loves you so!

Happy Nameday!

Happy Ariana Day!

Happy Nameday to our sweet little girl, Ariana Thalia!

Meanings behind her name:

Ariana:
most holy (Greek), silver (Welsh)
Thalia: to bloom, joy (Greek), dew from heaven (Hebrew)
[Thalia is also the Muse of Comedy and one of the three graces]

This was what our pastor wrote on August 30th, the day of her dedication:

Ariana Thalia is called to be a woman of holiness, belonging
to the most holy God, who will be a woman of joy, with a
freshness from heaven. One who reveals God's presence and
imparts blessings to others. A woman of God with the strength
of heaven, overflowing with joy and happiness.
